About this workshop

Leadership Micro-Practices focuses on the moments that matter most—the quick feedback conversation, the coaching question, the decision that needs making now. These aren't grand leadership gestures; they're the daily practices that shape team culture.

Through realistic scenarios and immediate practice, participants build muscle memory for handling leadership moments with skill and confidence.

What participants will learn

The knowledge and understanding they'll gain:

  • Simple frameworks for structuring feedback conversations
  • The difference between coaching and telling—and when each is appropriate
  • How to make decisions transparently, even unpopular ones
  • Why consistency in small moments builds trust over time

What they'll be able to do afterwards

The skills and behaviours they'll take away:

  • Give constructive feedback in the moment, not weeks later
  • Ask coaching questions that help others find their own answers
  • Make and communicate decisions clearly and confidently
  • Delegate effectively with the right level of support
  • Handle pushback without becoming defensive

How it works

Participants rotate through practice stations, each focused on a different leadership micro-skill. They'll role-play realistic scenarios with peers, receive immediate feedback, and refine their approach before moving on.

The format is active and practical—minimal theory, maximum practice. Participants leave with tools they can use immediately.

Perfect for

New managers finding their feet, experienced leaders refreshing fundamentals, high-potential employees preparing for leadership roles, or any group who wants practical skills over abstract theory.
