About this series

Onboarding doesn't have to feel like death by PowerPoint. This series transforms essential compliance training into immersive puzzle experiences—complete with the mischievous Gringleberries who've thrown everything into chaos and Boss Cat who's arriving for inspection.

The first two modules cover universal requirements (H&S and workplace conduct). The third module is customised to your organisation—your structure, tools, processes, and culture. Together, they give new starters everything they need to hit the ground running.

How it works

Each module includes puzzle elements—sorting games, matching challenges, code-cracking, and physical problem-solving. Correct solutions reveal information; completed modules earn the "seal of approval" before Boss Cat's inspection.

The playful framing (Gringleberries causing chaos) makes serious content engaging without undermining its importance.

Module 01

Essential Health & Safety

Fire safety, manual handling, DSE training, and risk awareness—delivered through puzzles and challenges. Learners restore the "Department Safety File" before Boss Cat arrives for inspection.

The Gringleberries have scattered the Department Safety File and Boss Cat is arriving for inspection! Participants work through sorting games, matching challenges, and code-cracking puzzles to piece together essential H&S information. Each completed puzzle reveals a section of the safety file—making compliance training feel like a mission rather than a lecture.

They'll learn:
  • Fire safety procedures—what to do, where to go, and why it matters
  • Manual handling basics and how to avoid common injuries
  • DSE (display screen equipment) setup for comfortable, safe working
  • How to spot and report hazards before they become incidents
They'll be able to:
  • Follow emergency procedures confidently without hesitation
  • Set up their workspace to prevent strain and discomfort
  • Identify hazards in their environment and know who to tell
  • Understand why these rules exist—not just what they are
Module 02

Workplace Respect & Conduct

Boundaries, inclusion, respectful communication, and bystander intervention. Learners rebuild the "Respectful Workplace Charter" that the Gringleberries scrambled.

The Gringleberries scrambled the Respectful Workplace Charter—now participants must piece it back together through scenario cards, sorting activities, and discussion puzzles. They'll explore real situations (not obvious ones) and practice having the conversations that make workplaces genuinely inclusive and safe.

They'll learn:
  • What respectful professional conduct actually looks like day-to-day
  • How to recognise and respond to inappropriate behaviour
  • The difference between friendly and professional boundaries
  • Bystander intervention—what to do when you witness something wrong
They'll be able to:
  • Communicate respectfully with colleagues from different backgrounds
  • Set appropriate boundaries without creating awkwardness
  • Speak up or report when something isn't right
  • Support colleagues who may be experiencing difficulties
Module 03

Your Organisation (Bespoke)

Customised to your company: org structure, tools, processes, culture, and how things really work. The Gringleberries have scrambled everything—help the new fox learn the ropes!

This module is built specifically for your organisation. The Gringleberries have scrambled your org chart, mixed up your tools, and hidden how things really work—participants must solve puzzles to piece it all together. We work with you to create custom content that covers what new starters actually need to know (not just what's in the handbook).

They'll learn:
  • How your organisation is structured and who does what
  • The tools, systems, and processes they'll use daily
  • Your culture—the written and unwritten rules of how things work
  • Who to ask when they need help (and how to find answers themselves)
They'll be able to:
  • Navigate your systems and find information independently
  • Understand where they fit in the bigger picture
  • Connect with the right people for different types of questions
  • Start contributing meaningfully from their first week
